The Legacy of FLOS: A Journey of Light and Innovation

FLOS was established in Merano, Italy, by Dino Gavina and Cesare Cassina, with the goal of revolutionizing lighting through cutting-edge materials and forward-thinking design. The company’s first success came with the introduction of cocoon resin, a lightweight and durable material used to create unique lamp structures. This innovation set the foundation for FLOS’s commitment to pushing the boundaries of lighting design.

Through collaborations with legendary designers such as Achille Castiglioni, Pier Giacomo Castiglioni, Philippe Starck, and Patricia Urquiola, FLOS has built an extensive portfolio of iconic lighting pieces that continue to influence the world of interior design.
