Fillet Armchair
Where Lightness Meets Solidity in Harmonious Material Dialogue
Product Description
Living Divani Fillet Armchair: A masterfully designed modern lounge chair that achieves a perfect equilibrium between lightness and solidity, blending materials, forms, and techniques into an understated yet expressive whole. This refined piece is conceived for both indoor and outdoor environments, offering consistent design integrity across settings.
The indoor version features a tubular steel frame (Ø25 mm) with epoxy polyester powder coating, available in Gunmetal grey or burnished color — providing strength and sleek visual appeal. The shell is crafted from 15 mm thick flexible plywood, curved and securely fixed to the frame using screws. It comes in a curated selection of natural finishes:
- Natural or charcoal-dyed oak – with water-based coating
- Stone Oak® – finished with water-based protective layer
- Tobacco-dyed oak
- Multilayer Striped Grey veneer – with acrylic coating
These options celebrate the beauty of real wood while ensuring durability and tactile warmth.
A support cushion fills the seat and backrest area, padded with polyurethane foam and wrapped in acrylic fibers for softness and breathability. Upholstery in fabric or leather includes a non-slip cotton fabric backing for secure fit and long-term stability. Covers are fully removable via zippers, enabling easy cleaning and updates.
For outdoor use, the structure shifts to AISI 316 stainless steel tubing (Ø25 mm) — highly resistant to corrosion and ideal for exterior conditions. The shell is made from 5 mm thick aluminum sheet, also secured by screws. Both components are coated with matt, scratch-resistant paint, available in black or RAL 9001 White Cream — ensuring resilience against UV rays and weather exposure.
Outdoor cushions use open-cell polyurethane foam with a draining fabric cover, allowing rapid drying after rain. Upholstery is limited to outdoor-specific fabrics only, each with a non-slip backing and full zip removal for maintenance.
Both versions rest on black plastic supports, providing floor protection and subtle elevation.
